ScanEat | Food scanner App
ScanEat is born from the need to merge the passion for cooking with dietary requirements.
Purpose of use
The primary aim of the project is to assist and support individuals with intolerances, allergies, and specific dietary needs, in selecting and finding suitable products while shopping. The goal is to enhance the shopping experience through its aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, clear, and unequivocal interface
The analysis was conducted by considering strengths and weaknesses of our direct and indirect competitors. The main goal is to understand which features to integrate into the application in order to gain a competitive advantage in the market landscape, accordingly to user needs and insights.
After administering the questionnaire to a sample of 200 users, it was found that 62% of them suffer from food allergies and/or intolerances. To delve deeper into the topic, we interviewed some of our users, who brought forth additional insights. This allows to identify users’ needs and problems.
